Please note:
I make no claims of medicinal properties of any plant, but merely pass along information originated by others that I judge to be accurate. Please be wise when eating any new plant: do not eat the same plant every day for lenghty periods of time, first test a small amount on yourself for allergic reactions, and do your research. Many herbs should not be taken while pregnant.

Small shrub native to Asia. The small (1"-2") peppers are super-hot, rated hotter than jalepenos or cayenne. Add them to cooking foods to spice things up, then remove before serving. The peppers are green, then turn bright red. They have more flavor while still green, and are just as hot. Red peppers can be dried and kept indefinitely.

These chili peppers serve as an expectorant, stimulant, antispasmotic and to treat intestinal parasites. They benefit the respiratory and digestive systems.

These peppers germinate easily. Plant in full sun. Hardy in tropical areas; tender annuals in other climates.
